Afriyanti Sumboja Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia. She received her B.Eng. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore, in 2009 and 2014, respectively. She was the recipient of the 2014 MSE doctorate research excellence award, presented by the School of Materials Science and Engineering, NTU
Before joining ITB, Afriyanti worked as a research fellow at NTU Singapore and a scientist at A*STAR Singapore. She has 1 US patent and has published more than 50 scientific papers in various high-impact journals. Her research mostly focuses on materials for electrochemical-based applications, especially for energy storage devices and electrocatalysis
